Furniture Outlets USA, founded in 1976 by William A. Hinks, has grown from a single location in Sioux Falls, SD to a ranking of 59 among America's top 100 furniture retailers. At the present time it owns and operates twenty-eight furniture stores, a carpet store and two Distribution Centers in four states. In Sioux Falls, the company has South Dakota Furniture Mart, Ashley Furniture HomeStore, Unclaimed Freight Furniture, Unclaimed Freight Clearance Center, Furniture Outlets USA Factory Clearance and Carpet One. Sioux Falls has remained the company's headquarters with its corporate office and Distribution Center housed in a one hundred and eighty nine thousand square foot facility located north of the airport on 60th St. N.
