Angus-Palm is a rapidly growing premier designer and manufacturer of cabs, rollover protective structures, and high quality fabricated steel parts and weldments. Most of these products are sold directly to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). These manufacturers build construction, industrial, mining, agricultural and other types of off-road machines.
Angus Industries is headquartered in Watertown, SD and employs 1300+ people in the US – Angus-Palm in Watertown, SD, Florence, SC, Greeneville, TN and Advanced Component Technologies in Northwood, IA.
This position will be responsible for providing recruiting and staffing support to the Watertown facility. Also, to provide administrative support for and ongoing maintenance of various areas of the Human Resources department including compliance, retention, benefits, compensation, employment, personnel records, and special projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, interns, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career pathing program; and writes and places advertisements.
•Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
•Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises when necessary.
•Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
•Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
•Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
•Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
•Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
•Resolve routine issues with respect to benefit inquires, i.e., eligibility, coverage, claims resolution, etc.
•Assist with employee celebrations and events, i.e., annual Christmas party, picnic, ESOP anniversary.
•Maintain the confidentiality of the office of Human Resources at all times. Any breach of this confidentiality is grounds for immediate termination.
•Perform other duties as requested and assigned by the Human Resource Manager and/or Director of Human Resources.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business, three to five years experience in the HR Field and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
