Description:
To work as part of a team providing supervision and care of children on the Boys Unit within a program shift in accordance with the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.
Specific duties may include:
• Nurture children through one-on-one communication and care.
• Maintain vigilant supervision of children.
• Participate as member of treatment team.
• Facilitate structured programs; i.e., games, outdoor recreation, etc.
• Assist children with hygiene, diet, getting ready for school, etc.
• Discipline as needed.
• Respond to aggressive behavior.
• Screen, assess and manage children’s pain.
• Document required messages in Communication Book.
• Complete daily report on assigned children.
• Complete behavioral/restraint/incident reports.
• Ensure safety standards and infection control policies are followed.
• Assist in keeping unit clean and orderly.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities/projects as required.
• Attend required annual training. Maintain required certifications and proficiencies.
Starting wage: $11.80/hour depending upon experience

Schedule (July thru December): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Every-other Wednesday.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, or one to two year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Desire references that can depict level of interest in working with children with behavioral issues. Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and software utilized by office.
