Network Engineer - Sioux Falls, SD
A premier financial institution in the prepaid arena is currently looking for a Network Engineer. Established in the early 2000’s, this $106M financial institution has become an elite leader in the prepaid industry providing gift cards, reloadable cards, ATM sponsorships, and other prepaid services.
Position Functions
• Responsible for high priority and advanced problem resolution of LAN, WAN, Security and Redundancy equipment
• Configuration and maintenance of the corporate enterprise network environment including configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage monitoring, and development of specialized procedures relating to the use of the network environment within the enterprise
• Perform analysis, diagnostic, and resolution of complex network and voice problems for the company
• Performs user ID creation, ID removal and ID maintenance for employee access changes
• Manages the day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of the enterprise data communications networks including the repair of routers, switches, application, desktop and server support
• Assists in designing, configuring and implementation of major network systems
• Performs root cause analysis for network outages or other business impacting issues
• Solicits new business and participates in community or other service programs
• Actively participates in the bank's Performance Management System
Computer Skills
• Administration and Operational experience with enterprise-class routers and switches. (Cisco Required)
• Understanding of networking technologies and topologies (i.e. TCP/IP, BGP, IPSec, HSRP, VRRP, SNMP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN)
• Understanding of Telecommunications (VoIP), Routers, Switches, IVR, ACD, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention
• Network monitoring and diagnostics
• Datacenter design and knowledge of HVAC, AC Power, etc.
• Extensive experience with various hardware systems including PC compatible desktops, laptops, and servers plus the ability to determine user needs and specifications

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator) certification is required
