Description:
Responsible for creating requirements for New Business, Underwriting and Agency Services projects and other Business Units as needed; translating the project requirements into detailed business specifications; leading the development of the business specifications; developing business cases; making recommendations and feasibility analysis required for complex projects, system implementations and/or modifications.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field from a 4-year accredited university; Consideration will be given to past Business Analysis experience, certifications, and Financial Services background
• 2-5 years of experience performing business analysis on a large scale with a strong understanding of life insurance and/or New Business, Underwriting, and Agency Services processes
• Ability to quickly obtain the knowledge of Sammons Financial Group (SFG) member company systems and the business and related technology processes
• Expert detailed knowledge of current New Business and Agency Services practices; ability to serve as a subject matter expert
• Problem solving, decision making, and process thinking skills
• Proven presentation, leadership, training and facilitation skills required
• Experienced in handling multiple projects at one time and effectively work under deadline pressures
• Strong analytical skills, and the desire and ability to research and formulate appropriate analytical technology or resolve problem situations
• Ability to perform data mining and analysis techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong questioning and listening skills and the ability to look beyond obvious answers to understand the impact across the organization; remain flexible and adjust to multiple tasks and circumstances
• Team skills and ability to interact well with others; ability to work with and communicate to a variety of personalities and locations
• Self-motivated, and ability to work independently and effectively under deadline pressures in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Organized and detail oriented
• Ability to understand and utilize concepts and techniques such as work simplification, workflow and process analysis, etc
