Description:
Operates block production machinery and performs other tasks required to operate concrete block manufacturing plant. This person will act as an Assistant Plant Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
•Loads/unloads raw materials for manufacturing process
•Adjusts machine controls to proper settings.
•Monitors machine operations to ensure that quality and efficiency standards are met.
•Performs block production machinery cleaning and maintenance.
•Changes molds as needed to produce different types of blocks in quantities needed.
•Troubleshoots block production machinery and performs basic repairs.
•Performs proper housekeeping tasks throughout the work shift.
•Operates burnish machine to produce burnished block.
•Performs all other tasks needed to optimize plant block production.
•Operate a forklift.
•Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Must be able read, write and speak in English well enough to understand safety rules and operating instructions and to communicate effectively with customers and other employees.
Mathematical Skills
Understand and use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to evaluate job assignments and work area to identify safety hazards, and make adjustments as needed to perform the job assignment safely.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of or be able to learn the company's inventory software and customer order processing systems.

Valid Driver’s License.
