IS Consultant-
Company
• Consulting organization formed from a federally sponsored center for information security
• Helps institutions design and build their information security programs
• Provides one of the largest teams of information security professionals in the country
Job Summary
The IS Consultant will be managing relationships with financial organizations and delivering on contracted services each organization is in need of.
Job Functions
• Consult with financial institutions on regulatory issues and concerns in regards to regulatory and legal compliance
• Assist institutions through IT examination process by providing expert consulting before and after the examination
• Participate in committee and board meetings
• Work with financial institutions on a variety of information security professional services such as: IT audit, risk assessment, business continuity, policy development, disaster recovery, incident response, social engineering assessments, and security awareness training
• Create and manage project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Structure management and service activities around project work plans
• Identify resources needed to execute project work plan and adapt the plan to the resources available, and execute projects and duties according to a work plan.
Requirements:
Skills/Qualifications
• 3+ years IS experience required
• Consulting experience is preferred
• A sound technology understanding is required
• Understanding banking regulations is a plus
Education and Training
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Banking, or Technical field
• Ability to develop trust with executives and technical contacts in banks and credit unions
• Travel may be required up to 35% of the time
