Summary
The Valet Service Captain supervises Valet Services Team Members, ensuring that the Valet staff adheres to all regulations, company policies and procedures. These duties include preparing the Department for daily activity, parking and retrieving Guests’ vehicles during peak times and when short staffed, and greeting guests with timely service, as well as providing assistance to anyone requiring it while acting in a professional manner at all times.

Essential Functions
•Provides exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.
•Lead, motivate and direct Valet Service Attendants on their shift.
•Delegate responsibilities and tasks as required by situation maintaining fulfillment of mission.
•Responsible for successful operation of Valet Services Department.
•Responsible for assuring that Team Members get breaks and meal periods as outlined per policy.
•Enforce all policies and procedures for the Department and Company, resolving employee issues as needed.
•Review Department activities with Valet Services Manager while providing recommendations for improvement.
•Assists Valet Services Manager in supervising, coaching, developing and evaluating Department Team Members.
•Compiling of data for accurate reporting of shift activities.
•Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment
•Ensuring that all vehicles are checked for damage, ticketed, locked and keys returned to Valet Booth.
•Hours are determined by business levels and are subject to change.
•Responsible for dress code and appearance standards of all Department Team Members.
•Works closely and effectively with other Department Supervisors while maintaining open communication to efficiently supervise the Department.
•Resolve Guests’ complaints and take appropriate action.
•Maintain confidentiality of Department and Company documents.
•Good communication, public relation and customer service skills.
•Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
•Maintain security of vehicle keys in an orderly manner.
•Maintain cleanliness of work and Guest area.
•Count and record tips received.
•Ensure the safety and security of Guests’ and their vehicles.
•Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
•Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
•Basic Computer Skills.
•Thorough knowledge of driving/roadway laws and regulations.
•Ability to operate vehicles with manual or automatic transmissions.
•Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as established guidelines from the Insurance Carrier.
•Ability to become licensed through IRGC (arranged by Grand Falls if not already licensed)
•Supervisory Experience in Casino environment perferred.
•Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
•Other duties as assigned.
 
Requirements:
Required
•Valid Driver’s License.
•Alcohol Awareness Certification (T.I.P.S.)
•High School Diploma or Equivalent.
