SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the management of both current and new customer programs. Responsible for ensuring customer expectations are conveyed and support is provided to meet business strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Customer Service

Perform contract review on new customer Purchase Orders.

Interact with customers to interpret demands and ensure the customer receives products on time.

Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.

Receives and checks customer complaints. Examines pertinent information to determine accuracy of customer complaints and to determine responsibility for errors. Refers complaints of service failures and forwards all billing complaints to Materials Manager for investigation.

Attempts to sell additional merchandise to customer.

Interact with current/new customer base to evaluate needs and gain prospective business/market share.
Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturing, management, engineering and customer service representatives at customer sites identifying opportunities.
Prepare technical and pricing proposals.
Ultimately responsible for all aspects of a project, from concept to implementation.
Convey customer expectations, concerns and technical issues between multiple sites.
Visit customers as often as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and develop multi-level and functional relationships.
Responsible for new customer identification and sales.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
This position requires a BS degree in engineering, marketing, business or a technical field with two to four years experience in engineering/project management at a manufacturing facility to understand methods and processes. Written and oral communication skills. Computer skills should include Microsoft Office including Power Point and Project Management. Pro-Engineering experience is preferred. Must be goal oriented, organized, self-motivated and possess a strong technical background and capable of reading basic blue prints. Position requires overnight travel.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The individual will be at our customer’s manufacturing facilities validating our product applications. This will include office and production floor exposure.
Travel to and from current and potential customers via automobile and plane.
Office and production functions at the ACT facility to support product programs.
