Description:
This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.
QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Our ideal Candidate will have a four year degree in quality related curriculums and / or have five or more years work experience in advanced quality related positions. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, and at least 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role or closely related field would be a plus.
This individual must be a proven performer with high attention to detail and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain control of several projects at once.
Must be proficient in the understanding and use of blueprints, and possess full understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing requirements.
We prefer an individual with experience in developing and implementing Quality Systems such as ISO-9000 / AS9000. The ideal candidate will also have experience as a lead auditor or lead assessor for ISO/AS applications.
Individual must be able to work with little to no supervision and have a high degree of initiative and self motivation. Must demonstrate consistently being a good example of leadership and excellent work ethic.
Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production and process validation of new products are in accordance with approved data.
Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits. Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
Must be able to accomplish assignments in a fast paced, team-oriented environment and possess the ability to work and communicate effectively / harmoniously with other employees, suppliers and customers. The ability to teach and train others in a coach or mentor role as needed.
Strong reading, writing, problem solving, and analytical skills are a requirement of this position.
Must possess strong computer skills, with experience in Word, Excel, and other windows based software. Must be able to accurately and efficiently generate instructions, reports, etc.
WAGE RANGE:
This is a salaried exempt position. Salary based on current experience, knowledge, and formal education/training; and the individual’s ability to perform the responsibilities of the position, and to accomplish both planned and unplanned requirements.
SHIFT REQUIREMENTS:
This is a day shift position. It can be anticipated that some activities may require night or weekend scheduling as well. It may also include travel with overnight stays.
