Summary: Provides administrative and secretarial support and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Greets and directs visitors to the company in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. Helps ensure reception area is well maintained and inviting for all who enter the organization.
•Receive, sort and forward incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications. Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
•Provide administrative support, which may include scanning, faxing, and copying documents as well as encrypting them, helping developing reports, filing, assisting with expense reports, etc.
•Assist in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.
•Professionally answer telephones and directs the caller as appropriate. Will take and retrieve messages for various personnel. Will coordinate with other support staff to ensure phone coverage is maintained during all business hours.
•Acquires and maintains a thorough and current knowledge of applicable MPS policies and procedures.
•Arranges and schedules complex and detailed travel plans (including transportation, hotels, etc.) and itineraries, and compiles documents for travel-related meetings.
•Knowledgeable and timely in getting correspondence sent through the appropriate couriers.
•Serves as a resource for corporate-wide secretarial and administrative responsibilities.
•Manages multiple top priorities concurrently.
•Build relationships with key personnel across the organization.
•Maintain a working knowledge of key partners.
•Complies with all provisions of the Bank Security Act
•Maintains complete confidentiality with all bank business.
•Actively participates in the bank's Performance Management System.
•Supports and embraces MetaBank values.
•Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience: Accredited office systems school graduate or 2-3 years’ experience in an office environment.
Other Skills and Abilities:
•Excellent phone etiquette and strong customer service skills.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, organizational and multi-tasking skills
•Professional and able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. Also, able to establish rapport and professionalism when working with the community, vendors, partners, etc.
•Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
•Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
•Current word processing skills are required
•Typing speed at least 50 WPM

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be prepared to perform significant portions of their work in a computer based work environment. They should have experience with:
•Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
