Exciting opportunity to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society Affordable Housing Communities of Sioux Falls! We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance for three affordable housing campuses: Crescent Villa (5501 W 46th Street), Creekside Apartments (4200 W Creekside Circle), and City Center Apartments (620 N Main Ave) which is currently under construction.
This position requires daily interaction with residents, so a positive attitude is a must. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively will be important in this position as will problem solving skills and strong organizational skills. Solid computer skills and commitment to customer service will also be important.
Responsibilities include managing all aspects of maintenance including, but not limited to, a preventative maintenance program, supervision of maintenance and housekeeping staff, routine maintenance work, painting, repairs, contractor management, project oversight, custodial duties and other projects as assigned.
Schedule is day hours with an on-call rotation. This position is 40 hours per week, with every other week on-call.
The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience in a similar setting and will have experience working with seniors. One-two years building/equipment maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of applicable building, life safety, and OSHA regulations preferred. Vocational education in plumbing/HVAC, electrical and/or carpentry preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
