Title of Position: Planning Order Entry Analyst
Reports To: Planning Supervisor
Job Purpose: Receive and process incoming orders from the sales floor and input them into the Oracle system for company use to fulfill customer needs. Perform other office duties to aide order flow throughout the company.
Essential Job Duties:
Process orders from sales personnel following standard operating procedures.
Verify order information for correctness, checking it against obtained information as necessary.
Be able to create and maintain item numbers as well as enter sales order line items into Oracle, verifying their accuracy, while working within the established credit policies as needed.
Understand how work orders flow and be able to analyze exceptions to ensure accurate disposition of work orders and use a system to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained on planned subassemblies and finished goods in the plant.
Read and understand job packet information and shop drawings to ensure that proper drawings are sent out with job packets and that job packets are accurate.
Work with production, sales, shipping, warehouse personnel to expedite or trace order status.
Be able to update and create Excel and Word documents, look for ways to improve systems and procedures to improve efficiencies.
Work overtime and irregular hours as needed.
