Key responsibilities of an auto technician include:

Diagnosis: Auto technicians use various diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues and malfunctions in vehicles. They might connect to onboard computer systems to retrieve error codes or perform hands-on inspections to determine the root causes of problems.

Repair and Maintenance: Once issues are identified, auto technicians perform repairs and maintenance tasks. This can involve replacing worn or damaged parts, fixing electrical or mechanical problems, and ensuring proper functioning of vehicle systems.

Routine Maintenance: Auto technicians also conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid level checks. Regular maintenance helps prevent major issues and extends the life of the vehicle.

Customer Interaction: Auto technicians often interact directly with customers to understand the problems they are experiencing with their vehicles and to provide explanations of needed repairs.

Using Tools and Equipment: Auto technicians work with a variety of tools and equipment, including diagnostic scanners, lifts, wrenches, and specialized tools for specific repairs.

* Must be able to lift up to 100lbs occasionally

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A valid driver's license is required
