We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Deputy Auditor for Hutchinson County in Olivet, SD. In this role, you will assist the Auditor in performing a variety of accounting and auditing tasks to ensure the financial integrity of the county.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Insurance benefits
- Verify and reconcile financial transactions
- Process payroll for county employees
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Respond to inquiries from county officials and the public
- Assist with Federal, State, County, City, and School elections.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in accounting or auditing preferred
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
