Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, a private club with upscale dining and a premier golf course, is seeking a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team. This person will assume the responsibility for cleanliness of the pool, patio and tennis court areas at the Club house. The Pool attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all Club Facilities in compliance with Club standards and to ensure all areas are member ready. Cleaning the Pool and outdoor dining areas are among the main responsibilities. Must be dedicated to providing quality service and exceeding the members and their guest expectations in the club facilities.

Job Summary / Essential Functions:

This person will assume the responsibility for cleanliness of the pool, patio, and tennis court areas at the Club house. The Pool attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all Club Facilities in compliance with Club standards and to ensure all areas are member ready. Cleaning the Pool and outdoor dining areas are among the main responsibilities. Must be dedicated to providing quality service and exceeding the members and their guest expectations in the club facilities.
Job Tasks/Duties:
- Maintain a clean, aesthetically desirable, and safe club environment which meets the expectations of the clubs Management team, as well as club members and guests.
- Perform outdoor cleaning of the pool and the patio around the pool.
- Clean member restroom and outdoor dining areas.
- Brush the pool walls and power wash as needed around the pool.
- Empty all strainer baskets for the pool filtration units.
- Disinfect commonly touched surfaces.
- Wash inside and outside of windows.
- Reports any damage, burned-out light bulbs and plumbing problems to the Building Engineer.
- Clean glass, tables, counters, shelves, and door handles.
- Clean locker room areas including showers and bath areas.
- Clean walls throughout clubhouse as necessary.
- Conduct deep-cleaning projects.
- Attending departmental staff meetings.
- Complete house training assignments.
- Order supplies when needed, with approval of supervisor.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
- Relevant experience, 1 year (preferred but not necessary).
- Housekeeping/cleaning, 1 year (preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- The ability to stand on your feet for 4 hours, be able to use ladders, and kneel is a must.
- Show up to work on time and in clean uniform attire.
- Show respect to members and other staff.
- Able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day.
- Attention to detail and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Use short ladders when required.
- Test pool chemical balances and report any discrepancies.
- Pool chemical knowledge is a Plus, will train.

Schedule:
6:00 am - 9:00 am @ 5 days a week min of one day will be a weekend day
- Additional hours as needed during tournaments.
- This is a temporary job and may have other opportunities to work year-round if desired.
