Flexographic Press Manager

Job Description

 

This position contributes to the success of the company by directing and coordinating activities within the flexographic department by managing employees and processes for the department across all shifts. Responsible for productivity and quality management to the extent that it falls within department control. Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, process modifications and may recommend product or service modifications.

Job Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for management of flexo department employees during all shifts including performance, attendance, coaching and corrective action in compliance with GMP, Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Responsible for participating in setting and obtaining production output goals for all machines
• Enforce optimal line speed and suggest adjustments to personnel placement as required
• Effectively communicate with all shifts as related to the optimal running of our production
• Assist operators in obtaining maximum production throughput with minimal downtime
• Assist operators in diagnosing complex machine issues
• Ensure equipment is cleaned daily to standards
• Ensure all employees are trained and adhering to safety and quality standards
• Identify, report, and resolve safety issues
• When applicable, work with maintenance, other staff, outside contractors, etc.
• Assist operators, maintenance, and quality control to correct the issue with equipment or quality
• Provides direction, coordination and evaluation of the department including interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Communicates with other departments and shifts on issues concerning production priorities, safety or equipment issues, special instructions, and customer concerns.
