Gymnastics Instructors
AAGA All American Gymnastics Academy is dedicated to creating happy, healthy athletes through instruction in gymnastics and tumbling through classes, camps, parties, and other special activities. We work with children to help them build lifetime skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Gymnastics instructors work with children of various ages to teach skills in gymnastics and tumbling across different levels. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, and talented individuals who will bring their energy and passion into the gym when interacting with students, parents, and coworkers. Instructors will also work birthday parties, camps, and other events and activities. While previous gymnastics experience is preferred, we will train individuals who have the right personality to work in our facility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure safety protocols are being followed
- Follow appropriate lesson plans that follow our curriculum
- Spot students and use positive cues to guide student performance in the right direction to achieve student goals
- Foster a positive, enthusiastic learning environment by demonstrating upbeat facial and body language and using positive verbal cues with students such as smiling, cheering, and providing encouragement
- Provide excellent customer service for children and parents
- Be a strong team player
- Possess strong class management skills
- Demonstrate high energy and positivity
- Complete administrative duties such as taking attendance, providing written and verbal feedback on lesson plans, performing student evaluations, clocking in/out
- Maintain facility cleanliness, including bathrooms, sitting area, and equipment
- Attend meetings pertinent to position
- Ability to work 8+ hours per week, including Saturdays and possibly Sundays
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Gymnastics, tumbling, or cheer background preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children
- Physical ability to lift equipment and children and spot appropriately
- Excellent class management skills
- Availability weekdays, weeknights, and Saturdays as needed
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Job Types: Part-time,
Pay: From $13 - $20 based on experience
