If so, we invite you to consider joining us as a Social Studies Teacher at St. Francis Indian School, also known as Sicangu Oyate Ho Inc. located in St. Francis, South Dakota.
What You'll Do:
As a Social Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, teaching various social studies subjects, and fostering a positive learning environment for high school students. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of indigenous youth and help them develop a greater understanding of the world around them.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to providing quality education to our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social studies and a passion for teaching. Previous experience working with diverse student populations is a plus.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards
- Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that encourage critical thinking and analysis
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including exams, projects, and presentations
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or related field
- State teaching certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds
- Passion for social studies and helping students succeed
