SUMMARY: 

The Security Line Officer will be utilized for the protection of Company Assets, Employees, Guests and tribal enterprises.The Security Line Officer will perform Post Duties throughout the casino and hotel and will be responsible for access and asset control to sensitive areas of the casino and gaming floor. Act as a point of contact for guests, vendors, and/or employees who are in need of assistance and follow through with resolving their issue. Monitor areas for problem behavior and/or environmental issues and request assistance from the Shift Supervisor or First Responder as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Duties:

  1. Responsible for safety and protection of casino transactions giving support to employees and assuring customers of fair play.
  2. Will conduct bag, purse, briefcase, box and package checks on all in-coming and out-going items in order to protect casino assets, patrons and employee’s safety.
  3. Will check identifications for persons appearing to be under 35 years of age.
  4. Maintains regular Security Log entries concerning incidents, accidents, Exception Reports, statements and any unusual situations.
  5. Writes reports legibly and accurately with detailed information regarding all incidents. Accidents, emergency situations and Exception reports.
  6. Passes on all information regarding his/her shift activities to the Shift Supervisor or First Responder.
  7. Will keep all information confidential regarding, Incident Reports, employee personal/personnel problems, wages, salaries, Accidents Reports, and will not allow ones self to become involved in rumor or gossip.
  8. Observes and reports to Shift Supervisor any fire and/or safety hazards in or around the Casino Complex in need of immediate attention.  For example; ensures emergency exits are not blocked, fire extinguishers are full and exit signs are illuminated.
  9. Greets and assists guests, vendors and employees.  Will maintain good interactions, good morale conduct and common courtesy when dealing with guests, employees and vendors of Royal River Casino & Hotel. Will man all designated Posts until properly relieved thru rotation, or by direction of Supervisor.
  10. Monitors the Security radio for calls or problems.  Will assist other officers and other departmental employees.
  11. Stays alert and observant to what is going on around him/her at all times.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
  13. Must have a thorough understanding of the Company Use of Force Policy and be able to articulate what, how, when the use force is necessary.

Requirements: Must be 21 yrs. High School Diploma or GED. Military experience, law enforcement or equivalent combination of education or experience. Must be able to obtain an FSST Support Gaming License and must possess a valid driver's license. 

Starting Wage Scale: $15.50 - $17.98 based on experience
