Job Description
USC is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technician (US Tech) to cover one day a week with the opportunity to cover time off taken by our full time tech. This position is sign on bonus eligible, extremely competitive wage and very flexible! 1 day per week and negotiated with our current full time tech and Director of Nursing. The day per week will vary based on both parties schedule/prefrence. Hours Monday - Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm and Friday 8am - 4pm -- NO nights/weekends/holidays/call! The US Tech is responsible for producing images of designated anatomical areas as order/directed and providing clinical and technical support within their scope of practice. Our clinic focuses on transabdominal ultrasounds only. The US Tech follows all established practices and procedures. Assists with image requesting via GE and Avera PACS and reviews dosimetry reports as applicable. Works with physician and administration on special projects and other duties as needed (i.e. data collection, EMR, recognition, etc.). Perform medical ultrasonography in clinic setting and technical assistance as appropriate in the ambulatory surgical center setting.
EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of ultrasonography. ARDMS-RDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography/ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Preferred Certification from the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
EXPERIENCE: Preferred, but not required. New grads encouraged to apply!
LICENSURE: ARDMS-RDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. ARRT(R) registration preferred.
