School Psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students' abilities to learn and teachers' abilities to teach. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School Psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.

What Makes You a Good Fit?
  • Education Specialist degree in School Psychology; South Dakota Certification or licensure; South Dakota Teacher Certificate
  • Successful internship in school psychology. Interns welcome to apply. Candidates with BCBA credentials are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Skills in human relations, leadership, and conflict management

  • Compensation: Starting at $53,639 to $87,390 - based on experience (This information is based on the 2023-2024 salary schedule. The 2024-2025 salary schedule is coming soon!)
