2nd Shift Production Supervisor- Watertown, SD

Full-time, 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday 2:15pm-1:30am, occasional overtime as needed)

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 Depending on experience

The Role

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor leads production operations during the evening shift and serves as the primary on-site leader for multiple departments. This is a hands-on role that works alongside the team while overseeing workflow, safety, quality, and staffing. The Supervisor reports into the Operations Manager and ensures production goals are met while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support approximately 20 production employees, including 1-2 Leads

  • Coordinate daily production priorities to meet customer demand

  • Work alongside team members to operate equipment and maintain workflow

  • Monitor equipment performance and address operational issues in real time

  • Identify and implement process improvements to support safety, quality, and efficiency

  • Lead safety efforts, including incident investigations and corrective actions

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and cross-training of team members

  • Provide coaching, address performance concerns, and conduct performance reviews


What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment

  • At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience

  • Ability to lead a team in a hands-on manufacturing setting

  • Strong communication skills and ability to give clear direction

  • Comfortable operating production equipment and working hands-on

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems (ERP)

  • Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment (standing, walking, bending, exposure to noise and moving equipment)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or technical training

  • Experience in foam, plastics, or similar manufacturing environment

  • Experience supporting safety programs or leading safety initiatives

  • Experience using ERP systems in a production setting

  • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
