We’re seeking an Accounting & Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Sioux Falls headquarters. Position Summary
The Accounting & Administrative Assistant supports the financial and administrative operations of
Cosand Construction. This position manages project billing, subcontractor invoices, accounts payable and receivable, collections, reporting, and general bookkeeping. The role also assists with document management, payroll processing, and office coordination. This person will work closely with project managers and the finance team to ensure accurate job cost reporting, maintain organized financial records, and help implement cost control systems.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
Prepare and track project billings, pay applications, and lien waivers. Organize and verify
subcontractor and vendor invoices for approval and payment. Process AP/AR, review receipts, assist with payroll, and maintain job cost reports and WIP schedules.
Administrative & Office Support
Provide office support including phones, supplies, and records management. Coordinate
project-related documentation and compliance. Assist with implementing accounting and project
management systems.
Systems Used
QuickBooks Online, Adaptive.Build, BusyBusy, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and future ERP
system.


Qualifications

2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred (construction experience a plus).
Understanding of job costing, AP/AR, and general accounting principles. Proficient with Microsoft
Office Suite and cloud-based software. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
Excellent communication and professionalism. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet
deadlines. Growth mindset — eager to learn and advance within the company.


What We Offer
Competitive pay: $22 – $28/hour (approximately $45,000 – $58,000/year, depending on experience). Full-time, in-office position with weekday hours.
