Job Description

The Accounting Associate will focus on managing the Accounts Payable (AP) function for Orthopedic Institute. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all vendor invoices are processed accurately and timely, as well as maintaining organized AP records. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and secure approvals
  • Prepare and issue payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate AP records and assist with vendor onboarding
  • Support monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end 1099 reporting and audit preparation
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the accounting team

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (completed or in progress)
  • 0–2 years of accounting or AP experience (internships or part-time experience welcome)
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication abilities
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment
