Accounting Clerk
A-OX Welding Supply located in Sioux Falls, SD has a career opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team! Enjoy working in our accounting department updating customers files, generating monthly billing statements, A/R & A/P, provide excellent service to customers and staff and so much more! The communities A-OX Welding Supply serves are important to us! We enjoy being a part of the communities surrounding each of our 7 stores, and delight in supporting local schools, sports teams, and fundraising organizations. What you do!
- Accounts payable: prepare, post, verify and bill out invoices to customers for payment
- Accounts receivable: ensure the company receives payment for product delivered to customers
- Proficiency with numbers using 10-key, with a high level of data entry accuracy
- Assist in generating monthly billing statements
- Utilize accounting software and willing to learn systems used by A-OX Welding Supply
- Maintain and update customer files, including name and address changes, mergers, or mail additional requests for information & billing
- Copy, file and retrieve material for accounts receivable as needed
- Relay changes of information to the appropriate employees
- Perform duties with proficiency in MS Office Software
What you need!
- AA or BA Degree preferred not required, or equivalent accounting experience (2+ years) preferred
- Must have working experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software plus accounting software knowledge and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
- Experience and accuracy working with numbers, invoices, etc
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
- Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers & co-workers
