Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department and ensure the efficient and accurate management of our financial records. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Accounting & Human Resource Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and human resource management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Manage full cycle accounting process, including by not limited to, preparing journal entries, maintaining intercompany allocations, and balancing of accounts.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other financial documents to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with audit and tax requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to management to help drive business decisions and improve financial performance.
  • Mentor and develop AP and billing staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and promote a positive work environment.
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Oversee employee relations and support department managers with personnel needs; including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to support employee growth and career advancement.
  • Manage HR data and systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee records.
  • Stay abreast of HR trends and best practices to continuously improve HR policies and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; 
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Human Resource experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Quickbooks a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, stewardship, and integrity.
