Addiction Counselor
Location: Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Addiction Counselor or Certified Addiction Counselor to join our team and make a meaningful impact.
Position Summary
The Addiction Counselor will provide comprehensive chemical dependency services, including intake assessments, individualized treatment planning, and both individual and group counseling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, and proficiency in electronic health record systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct chemical dependency intake and assessments.
· Deliver client-centered individual and group counseling sessions.
· Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
· Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
· Additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum requirements are a high school diploma/GED with the start of your initial SUD education classes. Bachelor’s or master’s in human services field is ideal.
Credentials: Preferred candidates would have a Certified chemical dependency counselor or licensed addictions counselor as recognized by SD BAPP. ACT will be considered.
