Job Description
Dakota Wesleyan University seeks an Online Adjunct Faculty member to teach a seven-week Introduction to Sociology course. The instructor will provide engaging online instruction on foundational sociological theories and topics, facilitate discussion, assess student learning, and provide timely feedback in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will help students examine culture, socialization, diversity, stratification, and social change while applying sociological perspectives to contemporary issues.
Preferred qualifications include graduate coursework or an advanced degree in Sociology or a related field, prior online teaching experience, and experience using Canvas or a similar learning management system.
