Job Description
The University of Sioux Falls invites applications from qualified adjunct instructors to teach on-ground courses in biology and chemistry, beginning in the spring semester, January 2027, and beyond. Adjuncts are hired on a term-by-term basis, determined by institutional need.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must hold an earned Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field. An earned or in-progress doctorate is preferred but not required.
Applicants will be considered across all areas of the life sciences, with preference given to those with broad training in biology and chemistry. Superior teaching, a desire to engage undergraduate students in classroom learning, an interest in teaching general education courses on-ground, and a heart for mentorship are highly valued. Successful candidates should be committed to academic excellence in a Christian liberal arts environment and to the integration of faith and learning, and should pass a required background check.
Preferred:
- Experience teaching in the classroom at the college level (traditional on-ground courses).
- Availability during daytime hours for on-ground classes
