POSITION SUMMARY

In collaboration with the dealer network, the Aerial Sales Specialist is responsible for the sale of Rosenbauer America aerial fire apparatus products in North America. The individual will coordinate with dealers and prospective customers to make presentations and/or execute product demonstrations that drive sales growth of Rosenbauer aerial fire apparatus products. Also, with sound scheduling and organization, the individual will create and execute travel for field product demonstrations, dealership visits (including open house events, Rosenbauer Power Tours, and trade shows/conferences in the USA and Canda.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Coordinates with Rosenbauer America dealers and prospective customers to promote and sell Rosenbauer aerial fire apparatus products.

  2. Responsible for the field demonstration of aerial fire apparatus products with prospective customers.

  3. Via sound schedule coordination, creates and executes travel plans for numerous types of events. schedule.

  4. Answers dealer requests and inquiries regarding aerial product capabilities, product specifications, and product pricing.

  5. While in the field driving and demonstrating Rosenbauer America aerial fire apparatus, records with the relevant logbook and complies with other CDL requirements.

  6. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company and our members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

K

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED required.

  • CDL – Class B.
  • Technical certification from a trade school preferred.
  • Associate degree in Business preferred.
  • Sales, service, engineering, and/or manufacturing experience with specialty vehicles (fire apparatus, ambulances, agriculture equipment or machinery, construction equipment or machinery, timber harvesting equipment or machinery, commercial medium-duty or heavy-duty trucks/trailers) required.

  • Preferred experience in fire service or fire industry knowledge.
  • Preferred experience in traveling for work.
  • Preferred experience in heavy equipment.
  • Preferred experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Skills:

Language:

  • Ability to read, reason and interpret common technical documents such as product operations and service manuals.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format and to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Math:

  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

  • Ability to perform simple tasks, such as typing a letter and using basic commands such as setting tabs, opening and closing files, simple formulas.
  • Prior experience with a computer terminal and/or PC.

Computer:

Abilities:

  • Mechanically inclined.

  • Willing to travel 50% of the time.

  • Able to work efficiently with Microsoft Office.

  • Analytical and highly motivated individual, with acute attention to detail.

  • Proficient in your ability to manage multiple and diverse projects, including analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, problem solving, decision making, and carrying out assigned projects with minimal supervision.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including tact and diplomacy, which would be utilized during customer service, conflict management, and development of relationships with internal and external contacts.

  • You bring with you a positive can-do attitude and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
