Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Alignment & Frame Straightening Manager to lead our commercial vehicle alignment and structural repair facility. This role oversees technicians, manages workflow, and ensures that heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles are repaired to manufacturer specifications and the highest safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in alignment systems and frame repair while also excelling at team leadership, process improvement, and delivering exceptional service.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and supervise the daily operations of the heavy-duty alignment and frame straightening department
• Assign and monitor work related to wheel alignments, frame diagnostics, frame straightening, and suspension corrections
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and company quality expectations
• Review measurement reports and diagnostics to determine proper repair methods
• Inspect completed repairs for quality and accuracy before vehicle release
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technicians
• Train team members on alignment procedures, frame correction techniques, and equipment operation
• Monitor shop productivity, turnaround times, and repair quality
• Coordinate with operations, service advisors, and customers regarding repair timelines and scope
• Maintain proper documentation of inspections, measurements, and repairs
• Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance management of department technicians
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty alignment, frame straightening, structural repair, or commercial vehicle repair
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of heavy-duty alignment systems and frame measuring equipment
• Strong understanding of suspension systems, frame geometry, and structural repair procedures
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, repair specifications, and measurement reports
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
