JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

As a printer for DTG & DTF T-shirts, you'll be at the heart of our creative production, bringing unique and engaging designs to life on apparel. You'll leverage your knowledge in Direct to Garment (DTG) and Direct to Film (DTF) printing technologies to produce high-quality, vibrant, and durable designs. This role demands a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and a passion for fashion and trends in the t-shirt industry. This is a part-time with the possibility of full-time position.

Essential Functions

  • Conceptualize and create compelling designs for DTG and DTF t-shirt printing, ensuring they meet the brand's aesthetic and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain DTG and DTF printing machines, ensuring optimal performance and output quality.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to select suitable fabrics and materials that complement the DTG and DTF printing processes.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in t-shirt design, materials, and printing technologies to continually innovate and elevate our product offerings.
  • Manage the pre-production process, including digital mock-ups, color separation, and print file preparation, ensuring accuracy and print-readiness.
  • Conduct quality control checks on final products, ensuring each piece meets the high-quality standards before dispatch.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the design team, sharing insights on print capabilities, limitations, and optimization techniques

Competencies

  1. Creative and graphic design skills are a plus. Basic knowledge in graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and familiarity with DTG and DTF printing software.
  2. Knowledge of DTG and DTF printing processes, including machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  3. Excellent color management skills and understanding of fabric types and their impact on print quality.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other departments.
  5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  6. Ability to adapt to fast-paced production schedules and shifting project priorities.
  7. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Supervisory Responsibility

None.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, DTG machine, heat press and dryer. It involves hands-on work with printing equipment and materials.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee will primarily be working on their feet but is occasionally required to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is part-time, with the possibility of full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Occasional weekend hours may be expected.
