Job Summary:

As an Application Analyst, you partner with stakeholders and IT to support business systems through requirements gathering, testing, reporting, and change management activities. You help ensure systems are optimized, well-documented, and aligned with business and user needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders as appropriate to gather requirements and analyze business processes and functions for the company's platforms in your assigned functional area.
  • Perform test case development and assist developers with adequate testing of the systems.
  • Gather, prioritize, manage and maintain a backlog of future system changes and requests. Supply highest priority requests (user stories) to IT for sprint planning within an agile system development environment.
  • Communicate all changes to the systems to key stakeholders.
  • Be involved as a team member for projects working under the direction of leadership.
  • Create and produce ad-hoc reports for end users and other stakeholders.
  • Optimize reporting capabilities within the systems and manage system integration with billing and other key support systems.
  • Provide functional and technical tool support to end users as needed, diagnosing and resolving problems.
  • Assist in the categorization and escalation of tool technical issues and functional training gaps identified.
  • Keep up-to-date on industry best practices and educate stakeholders on trends.
  • Assist IT with the functional design and appropriate documentation of system processes.
  • Collaborate with Training when needed to identify training needs or enhancements.
  • Participate in team efforts to support customer satisfaction and team goals.
  • Model Midco's mission, vision, values, ethos, and Leadership Success Drivers, and inspire others to do the same.
  • Ensure customer privacy by adhering to Midco's privacy guidelines while actively following Midco policies and procedures.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance as required by the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1-2 years of experience in application support, business operations, data analysis, IT support, or a related field involving system use, troubleshooting, reporting, or process improvement.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems and applications.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Foundational knowledge of agile system development concepts and practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting business functions or working within related functional areas.


Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment and/or remote work setting, depending on business needs.
  • May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and outside normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings, and weekends, as business demands.


Physical Demands:

  • May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • May be required to remain in a seated position for extended periods.
  • May occasionally lift or move items such as materials, equipment, or supplies.
  • Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.

  • Work requires sustained attention to detail and accuracy when processing information.
  • Regular engagement with detailed instructions, data, and processes.
  • Management of multiple tasks and priorities within established timeframes.
