Job Description
St Mary's School in Dell Rapids, SD is seeking a PK-12 Art Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The Art Teacher will work collaboratively with school administration and teaching staff to deliver a rigorous, developmentally appropriate visual arts program rooted in the mission and values of Catholic education. This educator will foster creativity, artistic skill development and an appreciation for beauty as an expression of faith, culture, and human dignity.
The Art Teacher will support the intellectual, spiritual, and character formation of students by integrating Catholic values into instructions while maintaining a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, collaborative, and demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
This position is 75% of a full-time equivalent (FTE), with the potential to include additional duties to create a full-time role, based on school needs and candidate certifications. Must have a bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field and hold a Teaching Certificate.
