JOB SUMMARY
Collect, prepare, test and analyze samples in order to determine gradation and characteristics, using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Education.
A combination of post-secondary education and experience, or
AAS degree in civil engineering desirable, but not required
We will train the right person.
Valid driver's license is required.
SDDOT Aggregate/Asphalt Test Technician certification desirable.
Limited same day local travel may be necessary.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct testing of Company’s products from various locations according to pre-set procedures.
Ensuring tests conform to State and/or ASTM standards.
Must be able to work varied hours.
Must be able to conduct limited travel.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
Ability to multitask.
Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
