REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION LEVEL:High school diploma
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:One to three years' experience in a similar setting
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, hearing; intermittent keyboarding, use of wrists, hands, fingers, speaking, typing and writing. Frequent filing, sitting, standing and walking
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Able to communicate effectively with and relate to others, knowledgeable and proficient in accounting and record keeping and knowledgeable of procedures for administering first aid. Demonstrated ability to use a computer to do word processing, data bases, and spread sheets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES- Successfully completes First Aid, CPR, and SD Board of Nursing approved Medication Administration training and certification.
- Provides care/first aid for students with injury and/or illness. Care could be emergent or non-emergent in nature.
- Completes district accident reports.
- Provides care for students with chronic health conditions, in accordance with student's care plan as delegated by the school nurse. Care could be emergent or non-emergent in nature.
- Obtains authorization, logs, and dispenses medication to students, as delegated by the school nurse.
- Processes student immunizations in accordance with SD state law and district procedures.
- Maintains a list of students with health concerns.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Maintains student health and immunization records and athletics physicals.
- Enters attendance in Infinite Campus.
- Processes and maintains student attendance records and contacts parents regarding daily absences.
- May serve as receptionist in main office.
- Maintains student discipline reports.
- Successfully completes medication administration, first-aid, and CPR training as offered.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Compiles data for bi-weekly attendance meetings with Administrators.
- Process Staff emergency cards.

Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
