Are you an experienced auto body technician in the Denver area considering a career move? Mel's Auto Body is recruiting skilled collision repair professionals interested in relocating to Rapid City, South Dakota.
This position is physically located in Rapid City, SD, and requires working on-site at one of our collision repair facilities. We welcome applications from experienced Denver-area technicians who are open to making the move.

Compensation & Earning Potential
Expected Annual Earnings: $75,000–$150,000+
- Commission-based compensation tied to individual productivity and performance.
- Experienced, efficient technicians have the opportunity to earn toward the higher end of the range.
- Top performers may exceed $150,000 annually based on individual production and repair volume.

What You'll Be Doing
- Complete structural and non-structural automotive body repairs.
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels and structural components.
- Perform disassembly and reassembly of collision-damaged vehicles.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and current OEM specifications.
- Review repair documentation and identify additional damage when necessary.
- Coordinate with estimators, painters, and production staff to maintain efficient repair progress.
- Inspect completed repairs for proper fit, finish, and overall quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment.
Qualifications
- At least five years of professional auto body or collision repair experience.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle construction and repair procedures.
- Experience with structural and non-structural collision repairs.
- Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing workmanship.
- I-CAR Platinum certification preferred.
- Current welding certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment.
