Airway Auto Service is a family owned business started in 1962 that is growing rapidly. This is an exciting career opportunity for an individual who has the desire to succeed. We are seeking one dedicated A or B grade Automotive Technician to join our team.
- Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
- Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment.
- Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
- Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
- Test the functionality of parts and systems
- Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
- Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
- Repair brake and steering systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
- Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
- Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
- Repair and Replace engine
- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
- Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
- Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
- Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
- Keep a professional appearance.
This position is for a 40+ hour work week. NO weekends! Major holidays off.
Job Requirements
Automotive Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with Airway Service standards. Must be able to diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems from oil changes to engine replacement. Automotive Technicians inspect and test vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made. As an Automotive Technician (Automotive Mechanic), you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.
Minimum Requirements:
Two years of Automotive vocational training and/or Two years of related job experience. Pay is based on experience.
