Position Title: Assistant Manager / Production Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager/Supervisor will work closely with the Plant General Manager and Production Managers to ensure smooth and efficient daily plant operations. This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing production activities, supporting team performance, and maintaining compliance with company policies, SQF standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
The selected candidate must be bilingual (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate with team members and management across all levels.
Essential Job Duties:
Support and collaborate with management to maintain consistent product flow and meet production goals.
Monitor egg flow and production efficiency throughout operations.
Inspect products to ensure conformance to quality and safety specifications; coordinate machine setup and adjustments as needed.
Prepare and verify labeling for daily production loads.
Partner with maintenance personnel to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly.
Communicate job expectations and ensure production personnel stay focused and productive.
Train, coach, and support employees on proper work methods, safety practices, and production procedures.
Complete daily attendance records, production logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
Assist management in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
Ability to read and interpret production orders and related documentation.
Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adherence to all safety requirements.
Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs. as needed.
Must be able to work in a loud production environment requiring the use of hearing protection.
