North American Truck & Trailer, a leading Midwest dealership of Kenworth and Volvo trucks is seeking A Body Shop Manager for our Sioux City location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Forecast goals and objectivies for the department and strive to meet them.
* Working with all departments in harmony
* Prepare and sdminister an annual operating budget for the body shop
* Attends managers' meetings as requested
* Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
* Hire, train, motive, counsel and monitor the performance of all body shop staff.
* Direct and schedule the activities of all body shop employees
* Provide technical assistance as needed
* Conduct meetings with body shop employees to discuss sctivities and problems of mutual interest
* Monitor Body Shop Technicians' payroll records
* Conduct monthly safety meetings
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with insurance adjusters
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referall business
* Supervise all activities of and communication with wreckers
* Greet all customers promply and give fair estimates on costs and time required for body work
* Break down estimates into labor and parts before the job is started so that Repair Technicians are aware of time allowances
* Quaility-check completed jobs
* Handle all customer complaints
* Keep abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommend purchases
* Ensure that the work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean
* Account for all documents; ensure that noe are missing
* Follow up on all parts department orders to ensure parts availability
* Participate in all available training programs
* Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the company's Job Safety Analysis pertaining to this position and positions this individual supervises
* Must have a working knowledge and understanding of the company's safety policy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Oversee Body Shop Department
* Must conduct all 90 Day reviews in a timely manner
* Must have each employee's yearly Performance Review completed by his/her actual anniversary date.
