Myrmoe Enterprises is hiring a Bookkeeper / Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of a well-established locally owned restaurant and entertainment destination in Sioux Falls, SD.
We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and helping keep daily financial operations running smoothly. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy and enjoys supporting a busy business behind the scenes.
Pay
Starting at $20.00 per hour
What You'll Do
As our Bookkeeper / Accountant you'll assist with a variety of bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities, including:
Daily Responsibilities
- Enter ATM deposits and issue ATM checks
- Record daily sales transactions
- Enter beer and inventory purchases
- Process vendor invoices and maintain organized financial records
- File house charge documentation
- Assist with counting room activities
Weekly Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and pay vendor invoices
- Issue checks for live entertainment performers
- Verify ATM transaction records and balances
Bi-Weekly Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll processing
- Support payroll tax payments and reporting
- Reconcile house charge and payroll advance accounts
- Enter State Lottery sweep information
Monthly Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Prepare ATM commission statements and payments
- Prepare video lottery commission statements
- Assist with preparing monthly profit and loss reports
- File South Dakota sales tax electronically
Quarterly & Annual Responsibilities
- Assist with quarterly payroll tax filings and unemployment reporting
- Help prepare year-end payroll documents, including W-2s and 1099s
- Maintain organized financial records and assist with additional accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting assistant, or office accounting experience preferred
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus
- Basic understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software is preferred
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team
