Position: Boutique Manager – RiverFront Boutique

Status: Hourly / Salary

Reports To: Director of Projects / Director of Pricing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and Inspire: Oversee daily boutique operations and manage a team of retail associates to ensure peak performance and exceptional customer service.
  • Merchandising Excellence: Curate and maintain high-quality visual displays that reflect the RiverFront Boutique brand and appeal to Al's Oasis visitors.
  • Drive Sales & Profitability: Monitor sales targets, manage labor costs, and implement strategies to increase store traffic and revenue growth.
  • Inventory Management: Place and receive orders, conduct regular inventory counts, manage vendor returns, and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure all cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) procedures, and store opening/closing tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and schedule team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Administrative Support: Collaborate with the Administration Headquarters office on HR tasks, financial reporting, ordering, & goals.
  • Travel: Travel may be involved for buying trips, training, or regional meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven Experience: Previous experience as a Retail Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar leadership role within a boutique or specialty retail setting.
  • Sales Savvy: Strong understanding of retail sales techniques and a drive to exceed customer expectations.
  • Visual Flair: A keen eye for fashion, merchandising, and store aesthetics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in POS systems (Lightspeed R Series preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
    • Experience running an online retail store would be very valuable.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail Oriented: High degree of accuracy in inventory tracking and financial reporting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field preferred.
