We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Branch Manager / Financial Services Officer to lead the daily operations of the branch and guide a team dedicated to exceptional member service. This dynamic role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including staff management, consumer loan origination, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Position Details:

Job Title: Branch Manager/Financial Services Officer

Classification: Full-Time, Benefited, Salaried (Exempt)

Minimum Starting Pay: $53,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year

Expected Start Date: Immediate Hire

Location: Main Branch located at Ellsworth Airforce Base

General Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the branch operations, including the management of the branch staff, Responsible for providing services to members, including loans and opening new member accounts.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Direct daily branch operations. May delegate a portion of responsibilities when necessary.

  • Remain current on changes within legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technology environments that may affect member services functions.

  • Assist with recommendations for hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, training and development, and interpretation of Credit Union rules and policies for department personnel. Conduct all personnel functions in accordance with applicable states (e.g. EEO, OSHA, Fair Labor, etc.)

  • Supervise, discipline and manage branch employees. Responsible for maintaining quality and progress of work.

  • Responsible for consumer loan origination functions, including informing members and potential borrowers of CU loan policies and services, conducting interviews, completing applications, and processing preliminary documentation on loan requests. Provide members with loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from members.

  • Cross sell various services available through the Credit Union.

  • Responsible for maintaining an adequate cohesive lender and teller staffing at branch. Be knowledgeable of compliance issues and conduct employee meetings to ensure staff is well-informed in all areas of policy, procedures, system, paperwork and work ethics.

  • Responsible for determining that proper control and individual accountability of cash and handling of cash, are properly controlled and handled in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations and accepted accounting principles. Assist tellers with their questions and balancing problems.

  • Function as a responsible member of management with observations and recommendations for change.

  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff, supervisors and management. Keep Consumer Lending Manager aware of problems experienced that may cause concerns or conflict with staff or membership.

  • Maintain excellent working knowledge of all equipment utilized for teller line support, including maintaining equipment in good working order and contacting service individuals when equipment needs repair. Maintain log of equipment problems and dates of repairs.

  • Providing information as required by law regarding the Currency Transaction Report (CTR) (cash transaction either deposit or withdrawal, exceeds $10,000.00.) and SAR (Suspicious Activity Report), submitting the information to the Officer for review and completion. (Suspicious Activity Report must be provided to President of credit union for Board of Directors.

  • At close of day, ensure that all teller drawers are secured, routing of all copies of paperwork required for settlement to accounting department is done, and any other paperwork is routed to appropriate departments. Secure the building upon leaving.

  • Provide direction in all areas of branch operations, including ATM maintenance and support.

  • Answer questions, requests, and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Treat all credit union members and employees with a positive and cooperative attitude.

  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all Credit Union information and documents.

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Consumer Lending Manager, CLO or CEO, including special projects and research.

  • Participate in all staff and departmental meetings.

  • Follow all Credit Union policies and procedures included but not limited to the employee handbook.

  • Cross train and backup staff in other applicable positions.

  • Participate in staff training and attend webinars, conferences and seminars as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Minimum of three years of direct experience in a financial institution required.

  • Associates or higher college degree preferred.

  • Combination of acceptable experience and education.
