JOB SUMMARY

This position will be located at the Westside Recreation Center, 8701 West 32nd Street.

Parks and Recreation is looking for solution-minded servant leader to help maintain Parks and Recreation’s Westside Recreation Center. This role involves the operation and maintenance of an indoor pool and hot tub, recreational and fitness equipment, and assisting with the setup and tear down for activities. This role also maintains the facility’s exterior grounds, which includes mowing, trimming, and ensuring walkways and parking areas are free of debris.

General duties of this role include performing air/water quality management, cleaning, maintenance, and repair work. Maintenance responsibilities encompass routine upkeep of the building's systems, conduct inspections to identify potential issues, and implement preventative maintenance measures to avoid future problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from high school or GED certification with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in custodial and building maintenance work, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

Must be willing and will be required to work a varied schedule including weekends and evening hours.

Willing to work standby duty for building security systems, HVAC/R, and maintenance alerts.

Possession of a valid driver’s license prior to hire is required.
