This shift would be Sunday through Wednesday 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m. and Saturday 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. (off Thursday and Friday).

Operates and maintains stationary equipment such as steam boilers to provide utilities such as heat and power for buildings. Monitors the operation of boilers, pumps, motors, combustion control equipment, and all other devices that ensure proper operation of a power boiler plant. Conduct fire extinguisher checks across campus, perform scheduled fire drill for their respective shift,

Licenses and Certifications:

Possess or the ability to obtain a valid Driver's license.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of methods and practices of general building and facility maintenance, construction trades, and tools and equipment associated with the duties of the position. They will have knowledge of the methods, tools, and equipment used in maintaining and repairing boilers and equipment, appropriate safety precautions and regulating and adjusting operating controls

Knowledge of:

  • the methods, tools, and equipment used in maintaining and repairing boilers and equipment;

  • work from ladders, scaffolding, or in confined areas.


This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
