Eidsness Funeral Home is seeking a full-time employee to work in our burial vault division. Responsibilities include customer service to families by installing and closing burial vaults. Our goal is to provide a respectful experience for our families at the cemetery by providing a dignified burial service. Professional behavior is essential. No experience is necessary. Some weekends and evenings are required.
Employment package includes salary (TBD), major medical including family (100% premium paid), medical reimbursement plan of $2,400.00 per year, and 401K pension/profit sharing (10% of salary) guaranteed deposit to retirement plan after 1 year of employment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Driver’s license:
- Physical capabilities: Ability to lift at least 100-150?lbs, and perform movements—such as bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting—for short durations. Be comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean and respectful appearance; often a uniform is required.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as burial services demand.
- Reliability: Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
- Communication & teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Background checks: Passing necessary screenings such as drug tests, MVR/background check.

Job Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Delivery and installation: Drive to the gravesite, position vaults, and install them into pre-dug graves.
Sealing and lowering: Safely close and lower the vault after services
Graveside service setup:
Assemble/disassemble service tents.
Arrange chairs, chair covers, artificial grass, and other service amenities.
Reporting & equipment upkeep:
Maintain vehicle and equipment upkeep, following maintenance schedules.
Keep truck, warehouse, and shop clean and organized.
Professional presentation: Provide a respectful, clean, and dignified graveside presentation for families.
