Starting salary: $78,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience

We are looking for a Business Analyst II to join our Business Analytics team. Our team partners with leaders across the organization to transform data into actionable insights and business decisions.
This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who enjoys solving business problems, working independently, and using data to drive meaningful business decisions.
This is an intermediate-level analyst role for candidates who can independently manage projects, communicate insights to stakeholders, and contribute to business decision-making and strategy development with limited supervision. You'll play a key role by developing reports, performing business analysis, implementing Business Decision Manager (BDM) changes, and helping stakeholders understand business performance through accurate, actionable insights.

In this role, you'll independently manage analytical projects, implement business rules and decision strategies, and partner with leaders throughout the organization to improve business performance.
What You'll Do:
- Build, maintain, and enhance recurring reports that support key business metrics and decision-making
- Perform ad hoc analysis and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders
- Implement, test, validate, and monitor Business Decision Manager (BDM) changes, including A/B testing, risk adjustments, and account management actions
- Identify meaningful business trends, variances, and performance opportunities through data analysis
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to understand reporting needs and requested business changes
- Communicate analytical findings and system changes to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Perform data quality reviews and investigate discrepancies to improve reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with Business Analytics team members and cross-functional partners to support business initiatives and decision-making
- Independently manage assigned analytical responsibilities while communicating progress, risks, and recommendations

What We're Looking For:
Strong candidates typically have experience in:
- Business analytics or business intelligence
- Data analysis and reporting
- SQL and analytical programming languages
- Dashboard development and data visualization
- Business rule implementation or system changes
- Financial services, fintech, banking, or commercial lending
- Business Decision Manager (BDM) or comparable decisioning platforms are a plus

Work Environment:
- In-office position located in Sioux Falls, SD or Sandy, UT for the first six months
- After six months, employees may be eligible for a hybrid schedule of up to two days per week remote, subject to performance and business needs
- Professional office environment using standard office technology
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on business needs
Job Requirements
Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Two or more years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or a related analytical role with demonstrated experience translating data into actionable business insights
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong SQL skills, including experience writing and validating complex queries, with familiarity in Python or another analytical programming language
• Experience implementing, testing, validating, or monitoring business rules or system changes
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
• Ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Experience:
• Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• Experience with Business Decision Manager (BDM) or a comparable decisioning platform
• Dashboard development and business intelligence solutions
• A/B testing, strategy testing, or change management initiatives
• Financial services, fintech, commercial lending, or banking experience
• Supporting risk, product, underwriting, or operational decision strategies
• Experience building data models, predictive analyses, or performance monitoring frameworks
