Business Development Representative (REMOTE)
At RMS Roller-Grinder, we make machines that make magic happen—well, at least when it comes to particle size reduction. We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Business Development Representative to help expand our market presence in emerging sectors.
This role is ideal for someone who is energized by proactive outreach and knows how to create opportunity from scratch. Our greatest success in this position has come from consistent, strategic cold calling—connecting directly with decision-makers, opening doors in new markets, and building strong pipelines through persistence and relationship-building.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify and research new markets and customer segments that RMS can serve.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to bring RMS into new industries.
- Drive new business through proactive outbound prospecting, with a strong emphasis on cold calling.
- Connect with key decision-makers, build relationships, and turn prospects into customers.
- Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations.
- Work with sales and marketing to fine-tune strategies and maximize impact.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and new opportunities.
- Represent RMS at trade shows, industry events, and conferences.
What We’re Looking For
- No degree required. We care about your skills, not your diploma.
- A self-starter who is confident initiating conversations and creating new opportunities.
- Someone who is comfortable and effective with cold calling and outbound outreach, because this has proven to be the strongest path to success in the role.
- A strong communicator who can quickly build trust and engagement.
- A creative thinker who brings fresh approaches to business growth.
- Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 30%.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in capital equipment sales or working in processing industries.
- Experience breaking into new markets through outbound prospecting and cold outreach.
