As a Business Development Specialist, you’ll be at the center of high-impact projects—coordinating economic development programs, supporting financially structured development initiatives, and helping bring transformative downtown and community development projects to life. From Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and Business Improvement Districts (BID) to redevelopment of City-owned property, you’ll work on efforts that directly influence the city’s growth, vitality, and skyline.

This role is grounded in program coordination and management, with meaningful opportunities to contribute to projects from concept to completion. You’ll analyze financial feasibility, support agreement development, ensure compliance, and help continuously improve how the City delivers development programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in business, public administration, planning, or related field, and two (2) years’ experience in community development, planning, fiscal management, or economic development is desirable; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

Must possess or be able to obtain, prior to hire, a valid driver’s license.
